Once per year I'm allowed the privilege to grow a 10 day-or-so beard during my summer vacation. Alas, now it is back to white shirts and clean shave

Looks like tomorrow's first ever concert of rock-legends AC/Dc in our country is going to be the event of the year, although we'll have Bob Dylan in 2 weeks and Metalica, Megadeth, Anthrax, etc in a month or so.
I'm trying to post photos of concert tickets combined with my current workstation/laptop for every major concert I attend. (See Depeche Mode and Metallica). This particular picture is a remake of the famous Strobist one-year anniversary shot.
Strobist: Gridded Canon 430EX@1/8 on camera (both my PT-04 and my off-camera cord game up on me), second flash bounced off screen, fired by an IR slave (masked by the beer). Camera tethered to the MacBook Pro via a 3m long USB cable - helps a great lot with self-portraits ;-)

Came back in April to properly re-shoot this February riverscape. Lots of things were different, with tourists crawling all over the place in the warmish spring evening as opposed to the dead calm of the winter nights. This time I had the time, tools and reason to properly close the aperture down enough to get the star-shaped highlights (duh!), put the camera on tripod, lift the mirror and use cable release.

Camera on self-timer, resting on the concrete bank of the river. Composing the photo and taking the picture took less time than actually geotagging it in Aperture 3, with the broken support for nmea logs and the application randomly crashing on me for the 50th time for the past 2 days.
